Expectant mother loses unborn child in crash

An expectant mother lost her unborn child following a crash Saturday near the Strip, according to Metro Police.

The crash was reported at 11:38 p.m. on East Harmon Avenue, west of Koval Lane, police said.

An SUV, which was heading east on Harmon, collided with a minivan that was turning onto a property the 100 block of Harmon, police said.

The pregnant woman, a passenger on the SUV, was taken to Spring Valley Hospital in serious condition, police said. Her baby was delivered “and showed no signs of life,” police said.

Three other people in the SUV and the driver of the minivan sustained minor injuries, police said.
