A suspect was killed and a law enforcement officer wounded in a shooting reported in Pahrump Wednesday night, according to the Nye County Sheriff's Office.
The officer was being transported to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, but information on his medical prognosis was not immediately provided late Wednesday.
Gunshots rang out in the 1000 block of Warehouse Road, a commercial neighborhood about 65 driving miles west of Las Vegas, officials said. Further details were not provided.
