Man shot dead after argument outside north valley residence

One man is dead and another has been arrested for murder after an argument over property in the northern valley Thursday morning.

Metro Police said it responded to reports of a shooting at 3:47 a.m. at a residence in the 5300 block of West Rome Boulevard, near Decatur Boulevard and the 215 Beltway. The victim was transported to Centennial Hospital where he later died, police said in a news release.

Homicide detectives indicated the victim and the suspect — identified as Daniel Guille, 32 — were arguing outside the residence. There was a physical confrontation, and Guillen produced a firearm and shot the victim, police said.

Guillen was detained by witnesses until officers arrived on scene and took him into custody, police said. He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he was booked for murder.

The victim will be identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Anyone with information is urged to contact Metro by calling 702-828-3521, or by email at [email protected]. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 702-385-5555, or online at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
