A woman has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend on Friday in northwest Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

Officers received a call of an unconscious man outside a building located in the 3300 block of North Tenaya Boulevard, officials said in a Saturday news release.

When officers arrived, they found a man laying outside an apartment suffering from an apparent stab wound. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives conducted an investigation and discovered the victim and the suspect — Corrina Matthews, 34 — were in a relationship. Police believe the two were inside an apartment prior to the stabbing, according to the release.

Matthews was arrested and booked at the Clark County Detention Center. The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
