Police: Man, 68, dies after being hit by car while running for bus

A 68-year-old Las Vegas man died today after he was hit by a car while trying to catch a public bus, according to Metro Police.
The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m. in the 6900 block of South Rainbow Boulevard, north of Badura Avenue, police said.
The man was jogging to a bus stop when he was hit by a car pulling out of a private drive at a restaurant, police said.
He was taken to University Medical Center where he later died, police said.
The driver of the car, a 43-year-old Las Vegas man, stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
