Las Vegas man hits $905,000 jackpot at Ellis Island

A Las Vegas man won over $905,000 on a slot machine at an off-Strip casino Tuesday night

David Frys, a regular at Ellis Island, hit the jackpot on a Buffalo Grand machine.

The jackpot was the largest at Ellis Island since another Buffalo Grand machine hit for nearly $750,000 in 2017, according to the casino on Koval Lane, just east of the Strip.

Frys, a member of Ellis Island’s loyalty rewards program, told casino officials he was in shock after his win.

“With 2020 being such a difficult year for everyone in Las Vegas, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have a loyal and local player hit this jackpot,” Christina Ellis, the casino’s marketing director, said in a statement.

The Buffalo Grand game is made by Aristocrat Technologies.
