A woman sitting in traffic at an east Las Vegas intersection suffered a survivable gunshot wound, according to Metro Police.
The victim — who’d been waiting at a light on Lamb Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard North when she was shot in the chest — was taken to University Medical Center, where she was expected to recover, Lt. Brian Boxler said.
Information on a suspected shooter or how the shooting unfolded, which was reported shortly after 5 p.m., was not immediately available.
Police shut down south lanes on Lamb while the investigation was ongoing, Boxler said.
Boxler did not disclose additional information.
