Pedestrian, 29, critical after being struck in east valley

A 29-year-old pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning in a crash in east Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The crash occurred about 5 a.m. at Boulder Highway and East Missouri Avenue, police said.

The victim was in a marked crosswalk but against a do-not-walk sign, when a 2002 Toyota Tacoma struck him, police said.

Impairment wasn’t suspected and the motorist collaborated with police.
