Man at Strip resort arrested on disorderly conduct charge

Updated Monday, June 28, 2021 | 7:54 p.m.

Officers responded to reports of a person with a gun today at the MGM Grand, according to Metro Police.

Investigating officers reported they could find no evidence that anyone waved or displayed a firearm inside the casino, as had been reported.

Though there was no shooting, a person was arrested for disorderly conduct, Metro Capt. Dori Koren wrote on Twitter tonight.

"Our officers were also relentless in tracking down the suspect who caused the incident. He was just arrested," the tweet said. "Still not a shooting but his actions did create a lot of fear, which is unacceptable. He’ll be going to jail for disorderly conduct."

The initial report came in about 3:15 p.m. at the south Las Vegas Strip resort. Metro reported the investigating officers findings about 4 p.m.
