A man was fatally wounded in a shooting Thursday evening at an east valley apartment complex, according to Metro Police.
Gunshots blasted about 6:30 p.m. in the back of a fourplex building in the 3400 block of Center Drive, near Charleston Boulevard and Palm Street, homicide Lt. Ray Spencer said.
The victim, a white man in his early 30s, died at University Medical Center, Spencer said late Thursday.
The victim and a woman were talking outside the complex when the gunman approached and fired multiple rounds before leaving on foot, Spencer said.
The probe was in its preliminary stages and a possible motive hadn't been established, Spencer said.
