Metro Police working barricade situation in southwest valley

Metro Police say they are on the scene of a barricade situation in the southwest valley, where they were trying to apprehend “a wanted suspect.”

The situation has been ongoing since about noon, when officers arrived at a home in the 7500 block of Aurora Glow Street, police said. The suspect did not exit the residence, police said.

SWAT and crisis negotiators were summoned to assist, police said. Roads in the vicinity have been closed.

Metro said the incident was ongoing and information was limited.
