An athletics coach at Mojave High School was arrested Wednesday on one count of sexual conduct between a school staff member and a student, Clark County School District Police said.

Michael Jones, 21, of Las Vegas surrendered to officers and was booked at the Clark County Detention Center, Lt. Bryan Zink said in a news release. The arrest stems from an investigation at the school earlier this month and he has been terminated from the school.

Jones had served as a football coach at Mojave since 2019, according to the release.

Anyone with information is asked to call school police dispatch at 702-799-5411.
