Daniel Emmet will be singing in Summerlin Friday and at the Space on Saturday.

The Space will be hosting a special night of entertainment to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation this Saturday night, the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The all-star lineup of performers includes Daniel Emmet, Travis Cloer, Michelle Johnson, Mark Shunock, Anne Martinez, Tymara Walker, Elisa Fiorillo, Chadwick Johnson, Kenny Davidsen and Frank Pizarro. The New York-based nonprofit organization supports several programs assisting families of military and first responders. All proceeds from the show’s $25 tickets will go to the cause and they are available at thespacelv.com.

Speaking of singing sensation Emmet: He will perform a pop-up concert on Friday, September 10 at the Downtown Summerlin Dining Arroyo in support of the Nathan Adelson Hospice and its upcoming Serenades of Life event on October 2 at the Smith Center. This week’s quickie show will also bring hospice executives and team members for interactions with the public, including pet therapists that are part of the Bonnie Schreck Memorial Complementary Therapies program. Emmet will headline the fundraiser next month along with master of ceremonies Brad Garrett and tickets and info are available at thesmithcenter.com.

One of the city’s favorite performers is setting up shop at the Nevada Room this week. Kelly Clinton’s new residency show “The Sit In” will take over the new showroom at the cozy Commercial Center entertainment venue every Thursday night starting tonight, featuring an opener with guest stars Mac King, Phillip Officer and Elisa Fiorello (there she is again!) along with musical director Mike Clark. Expect an unpredictable night of fun every week as Clinton welcomes audience members and surprise performers onstage, and chef David Robinson will be serving up a special a la carte menu and specialty cocktails, too. Big rock shows are making their way back to Las Vegas. This week the Foo Fighters announced a pair of concerts at Park Theater on December 2 and 4, with tickets on sale Friday, while the Black Crowes will return to the Strip as part of the band’s 30th anniversary tour on November 18 and 19 at the House of Blues. Those tickets also become available Friday and both shows will require guests to provide proof of full vaccination or recent negative test.

Kevin Costner’s band Modern West will perform at the Sunset Station Amphitheater on November 6 and tickets go on sale Saturday at stationcasinoslive.com. In case you didn’t know, the group has toured the world since 2007 and most recently released the album “Killing Each Other” featuring music from the “Hatfields & McCoys” miniseries that Costner also starred in.

Comedian John Caparulo was building momentum with his Strip residency gig at Harrah’s before COVID. He stayed busy during the downtime with a series of stand-up shows at the Space and now Cap has found a new home in Summerlin. He’ll perform as part of the monthly Red Rock Comedy Series at Rocks Lounge inside the Red Rock Resort on October 30 and tickets go on sale Saturday at stationcasinoslive.com.

Chippendales” has only been back onstage at the Rio for a week and already the boys are giving back to the community.
