A man was killed and a woman was injured Sunday in a shooting at an apartment complex in the central valley, according to Metro Police.
Police received a ShotSpotter alert of a shooting at the complex in the 900 block of E. Twain Ave, near University Center Drive, at 11:21 a.m., according to a news release. Arriving officers found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Both victims weren't identified.
The victims appeared to be involved with an unidentified person prior to the shooting, police said. No other information about the suspect was given.
