Metro Police is investigating after a woman’s death in the east valley was ruled a homicide by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, police said today in a release.
Officers responded about 9:15 a.m. Thursday near Nellis Boulevard and Harmon Avenue and found a woman unresponsive laying near a raised planter.
Arriving officers located the woman, and she was ultimately declared dead at the scene, police said.
There were no immediate signs of foul play, and the woman — whom police did not identify — was taken to the coroner’s office, according to the release.
Homicide detectives were alerted by the coroner’s office on Friday that the cause of death was ruled a homicide and began investigating, police said.
The coroner’s office could not be reached for comment.
