Police: Suspect arrested in several Las Vegas robberies

A suspect in several robberies across the Las Vegas valley earlier this month was arrested Tuesday after a short foot chase, according to Metro Police.

Julio Parra, 56, was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on counts of robbery and burglary with a firearm, police said.

Parra is suspected of robbing a business in the 3200 block of South Rainbow Boulevard on Aug. 17, and is believed to be behind three robberies on Aug. 18, police said.

Parra was taken into custody after a brief foot chase in the 2200 block of Constantine Avenue, near Washington Avenue and Eastern Avenue, police said. Further details about the arrest were not immediately available.
