Las Vegas traffic slowed after wrong-way driver crashes into vehicles

Metro Police are warning of traffic delays while they investigate a wrong-way driver who was taken into custody after crashing into several vehicles.

Dispatch first received a call shortly after 1 p.m. of a wrong-way driver in a bronze station wagon near Lake North Drive and Fort Apache Road, police said. Police were later advised that the vehicle had almost hit pedestrians in the area.

Officers later located the driver and detained them near the 215 Beltway heading eastbound, just south of Sahara Avenue, police said. An ongoing investigation is involving multiple victims and multiple vehicles in various locations.

No other details were released.
