A man has been arrested in a fatal stabbing Monday in the northeast valley, according to a Metro Police report.

Rodney Faulk, 29, was arrested Monday and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of open murder, according to jail records.

Officers responded about 9:05 a.m. to the 3500 block of Full Sail Drive, near Gowan and Pecos roads, to a reported stabbing in front of a house, police said.

They found 20-year-old Devaughn Senegal lying in the street with multiple stab wounds, according to police. He was declared dead at the scene, police said.

Faulk and the victim were roommates and got into an argument over rent money, police said. During the dispute, Faulk produced a knife and stabbed the victim, police said.

Afterward, Faulk called 911, told the dispatcher what had happened and reported that he was going to a convenience store, according to police.

Faulk was taken into custody in the 3500 block of East Gowan Road, police said.
