Election results are scheduled to be finalized after Friday, when counties across the state will convene to certify the results.

Several media outlets reported on the announcement after a release by Lombardo’s campaign was sent out Wednesday. The Sun was not provided a copy of the news release, and Elizabeth Ray, spokeswoman for Lombardo, did not return a request for comment.
