More human remains have been discovered at Lake Mead, officials said.

The skeletal remains were discovered earlier this month in Callville Bay, said Stefani Dawn, a Lake Mead National Recreation Area spokeswoman.

A human bone was initially found by a concession dive operator during a dive Oct. 17, she said.

A National Park Service dive team conducted a full search of the area the next day and discovered a more complete set of human skeletal remains, Dawn said.

The remains are the latest in a series of similar discoveries since May, as the lake’s waters recede mind a prolonged drought.

Two sets of remains were found at Lake Mead’s Swim Beach a few weeks apart in August, and additional remains were found at the same area near Boulder City in late July.

Two bodies were recovered from the lake in May, including one found in a barrel that was determined by police to be related to a homicide from the 1970s or 80s.

No foul play is suspected in connection with the latest discovery, and the Clark County Coroner's Office has been contacted to identify the remains, Dawn said.
