Woman hit by car, killed while crossing Flamingo Rd. in Las Vegas

A pedestrian crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk at Flamingo Road and Burnham Avenue died after being hit by a sedan on Tuesday, according to Metro Police.

The 65-year-old Las Vegas woman was crossing Flamingo about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, when a sedan traveling westbound collided with her left side. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the sedan was uninjured and cooperative with investigators, who determined impairment was not a factor.

The collision remains under investigation, according to Metro Police.
