A North Las Vegas motorcyclist was killed near Lake Mead more than a week ago after driving “in a reckless manner,” according to Nevada State Police.
Nicholas Ray Hansen, 35, was driving eastbound on Lake Mead Boulevard — or State Route 147 — about 3:50 p.m. on Jan. 2, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. He traveled into the westbound lane and continued across onto the road’s dirt shoulder, striking a paddle marker and causing it to rotate clockwise so that his motorcycle overturned and he was ejected.
Hansen was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
