A suspect was arrested in California for the alleged slaying of a woman found dead in her Las Vegas residence this month, according to Metro Police.
Jesus Gonzalez, 42, was taken into custody Friday on one count of open murder, police said. He was booked into a Los Angeles jail, pending extradition to Las Vegas.
Gonzalez is accused of shooting the victim at her home in the 200 block of North 17th Street, where police responded the evening of Jan. 8. The victim was located suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
