A Las Vegas man died Monday after the SUV he was driving veered off the road and hit a light pole, according to Metro Police.
The 23-year-old driver was eastbound on Charleston Boulevard near Hualapai Way about 9:10 p.m. Monday when he crashed, police said.
The driver and a 21-year-old female passenger were taken to University Medical Center, where the driver was pronounced dead, police said. The passenger suffered moderate injuries, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
