Members of the Sun’s sports staff – as well as crack cartoonist Mike Smith – weigh in on who they think will win Sunday’s UAW-Dodge 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup
Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
Jeff Haney - Matt Kenseth. A two-time winner who is always a force on the Las Vegas track.
Brian Hilderbrand – Kyle Busch. The kid is on fire this season with six top-four finishes in six races (trucks, Nationwide and Cup).
Ron Kantowski -- Jimmie Johnson. Actually, I think Kyle Busch is going to win. But so does everybody else. So I'll go with Jimmie Johnson. Doesn't he win every year? Plus, as Ray Babbitt said in "Rain Man," he's an excellent driver.
Rob Miech -- Matt Kenseth. He always fares well in the West, and his top-five finish in California portends great things here in Viva Las Vegas!
Mike Smith -- Kyle Busch. He's got the biggest lead foot in the field right now.
Mark Whittington -- Kyle Busch. It's time for a Vegas driver to win this race, even if he is suited up like a brown M&M.
