Did Sam Hornish’s car look loose to you? I thought it did too until I noticed that it also looked sideways on the straightaway. NASCAR issued a memo to teams on Saturday night telling them to stop turning the rear wheels so much in an attempt to make the cars handle better.
Before his experimental engine blew, Kyle Busch was running away from every other car in the field. I think Kyle could make anything go fast.
Finally, should an event reserved for the best drivers, who have earned their place in the race, allow a driver to participate based on the fans’ votes? I like it because allows the fans to feel like they are part of the event. That’s important when so many fans have felt alienated from this sport over the last few seasons. What do you think?
