De-crowned Miss Nevada, Katie Rees, was arrested just shy of 3 a.m. today in Southwest Vegas after she became “physically aggressive” towards an officer who pulled her over for traffic violations.
De-crowned Miss Nevada, Katie Rees, was arrested just shy of 3 a.m. today in Southwest Vegas.
Rees was stopped for traffic violations and became "physically aggressive" towards the office, according to a Metro press release. Rees was ultimately booked for speeding, driving with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle with suspended license plates, no proof of insurance, operating a motor vehicle with expired license plates, and resisting a police officer.
She posted bail and was released from the Clark County Detention Center.
Rees, who won her her crown in a state pageant held in October of 2006, was dethroned two months later when officials discovered provocative photos of her and two other women.
Rees has claimed she has been treated unfairly by Miss USA officials, citing that Miss USA Tara Conner got a second chance after she was caught drinking underage in New York — so why couldn't she?
