Refreshed from a week off, we’re ready for TCU

Hey everyone, it's been a couple weeks, but I'm back from our weekend off and ready to go.

The off week was good. I was definitely kind of banged up. I still am a little bit. But with the time off, you definitely get your mind right, too, so that's always nice.

We had the weekend off, and I used the time to visit my friends and family back in California. That was really about it. I hung out with my nieces, my nephews and just the whole family.

Actually, I did some yard work with my dad. He doesn't usually put me to work when I come home, it was just this one time. After that, we were just lazy the rest of the weekend.

Now that we're back, with six games left to go on the 2010 schedule, guys definitely seem more energetic and have gotten their legs back some. There was just so much football up until this point, then we have a break, and it just seems like the off weekend lasted weeks rather than a couple of days. I think everyone's pretty refreshed and ready to get back into it.

Next up is TCU, who we'll play at home on Saturday night.

They're ranked as high as they are for a reason. They have athletes everywhere. They have speed. Even their offensive linemen are fast.

It's always a challenge to compete with really good athletes with speed across the board, so we'll have to bring our best possible games.

To prepare for an opponent like this, you have to watch more film than normal, that's for sure. They've killed us in the past, and at the very least, our mistakes have to be as minimal as possible.

Hope to see you all at Sam Boyd Stadium this weekend, and we'll talk again next week.
