Moderate quake hits northeast Nevada

The Associated Press reports that a moderate earthquake this morning rattled a northeast Nevada town that was struck by a stronger temblor in February. Today's quake, registered at 4.2, was centered about 11 miles northeast of Wells and happened at 6:16 a.m.

Wells was hit by a 6.0 magnitude earthquake on Feb. 21 that damaged hundreds of homes and much of the town’s historical district.
