UFC cuts Starnes for lack of combat

It was a great night for every other Canadian fighter Saturday at UFC 83 in Montreal, unless you were Kalib Starnes. It wasn't that the Surrey, B.C. native lost his unanimous decision to Nate Quarry in their middleweight bout, it was the way he lost. He ran much of the night, refusing to engage in combat with Quarry for the majority of the fight. "He just doesn’t belong in the UFC and after his performance the other night, he should consider a new line of work," UFC president Dana White said.
