The Star, which covers Shelby, N.C., reports today on Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas Post 76), winning the the American Legion World Series this morning by beating Pasco, Wash., 5-1, in the finals.
The Star reported: "This is a great accomplishment," said Las Vegas head coach Chris Sheff. "It doesn't get bigger than this, a national thing with 6,000 teams starting out wanting to be No. 1."
