Big gulp: Martha Stewart's media empire swallowed the Emeril Lagasse franchise yesterday. The New York-based "omnimedia" company founded by domesticity diva Stewart announced that it bought the rights to the Lagasse line of cookbooks, television shows and kitchen products for $45 million in cash and $5 million in stock at closing. Stewart's company did not acquire Emeril's Homebase, which includes his 11 restaurants and corporate office.
