Which way would the wind blow coal emissions from the proposed Toquop Energy Project in northeast Nevada? A power company and the National Weather Service meteorologists disagree. Sithe Global Power says St. George, Utah, would be downwind from the electric power plant only 3 percent of the time. But the National Weather Service says the small town would pick up emissions most of the year.
