Obama closes in on nomination

Presumptive Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain, fueled the fires of a near end to the 16-month Democratic primary, referring to Obama in a speech as his definite opponent for the next five months and attacking the Illinois senator's policies.

Even so, Clinton assured colleagues that she would not concede her run for the Democratic nomination Tuesday night.
