Moderator of "Meet the Press," NBC's Washington Bureau chief, and a familiar face in American political news, Tim Russert, died Friday at the age of 58.
According to NBC, Russert was recording voice overs for Sunday's "Meet the Press" when he collapsed inside the studio and was taken to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington. Russert's physician, Michael Newman, said that the cause of death is still unknown.
