Jury: Suen helped Adelson, even if very little

The Sun has covered this issue, and now the LA Times weighs in:

While the jury is still out on whether Sheldon Adelson was instrumental in bumping a congressional resolution that opposed Beijing's bid for the 2008 Olympics from the House of Representatives, the jury was clear that it believed Adelson had been a guiding force in the Macao deal.

And it also believed that Richard Suen, the Hong Kong businessman who filed suit against Las Vegas Sands Inc., helped put Adelson's foot in the door to become that force. The jury awarded Suen $43.8 million last month for Suen's role in connecting Adelson and his investors with key Chinese officials.
