Gov. Jim Gibbons intends to ask missing multimillionaire adventurer Steve Fossett's widow for help paying the state's $687,000 tab that was accumulated last fall in a failed search for the missing man.
"We are going to request that they help offset some of these expenses, considering the scope of the search, the overall cost as well as our ongoing budget difficulties," Ben Kieckhefer, press secretary for Gibbons, told The Associated Press.
