Bedroom communities to suffer?

Just how bad is the local economy? On today's program banking guru Bill Martin says the current downturn is the most pervasive he's seen, hitting consumers from so many angles. The confluence of slumping home sales and rising gas prices could be especially hard on bedroom communities like Pahrump, Mesquite and Coyote Springs, Martin said.

Tomorrow: Attorneys for the governor and first lady say the two will attempt to avoid litigation as they work out details of their divorce. Sounds like Dawn Gibbons got what she wanted (to stay in the Mansion's guest house) and agreed to call off her legal hounds. One has to wonder if the governor acquiesced after People magazine plastered his marital problems on the pages of a recent issue. We'll hear from conservative consultant Ryan Erwin and liberal blogger Hugh Jackson about that and much more.
