Dust advisory issued

Clark County Air Quality officials have issued dust and wind advisories through Thursday.

The wind advisory goes into effect today at 6 p.m. and expires at 6 p.m. Thursday.

High winds are expected to stir up dust, which could cause health problems for sensitive people who have respiratory illnesses.

The wind gusts are expected to reach 50 mph and the temperature is expected to drop 15 to 20 degrees.

There is also a slight chance of a rain shower, particularly in the eastern valley and in the mountains.

A Red Flag warning is also in effect for fire danger in Southern Nevada, especially along the Colorado River Basin, due to gusty winds and low humidity.
