A 27-year-old man died of gunshot wounds in a home invasion robbery today in the southwest valley, Metro Police said.
A woman who lived at the residence in the 9400 block of Forbes Field Court
arrived home just before midnight and was forced inside at gunpoint by two men, both in their 20s and wearing dark clothing, police said.
The victim and another woman arrived a short time later, police said.
During a confrontation, the man was shot. The two suspects fled on foot east on Forbes Field Court, police said.
The Clark County coroner's office will release the victim's name after his family has been notified.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Metro's homicide section at 828-3521 or, if the caller wishes to remain anonymous, to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
