Ensign to vote against omnibus spending package with nearly $100 million in Nevada earmarks he helped put in there

Nevada Sen. John Ensign has been railing against the spending in that massive bill that could come to a vote before the lame duck session. What he hasn't said is that he, along with other members of the Nevada delegation, have requested tens of millions in spending on earmarked project in the measure. But now, for the greater good of the country, he says, he will vote against what he must believe are needed projects around the state, including highway improvements, Army and Air Force base requests, a grant for the Whittemore-Peterson Institute in Sparks, flood control projects in Las Vegas and more.
