The new totals: 29,078 early voters and 9,929 mail voters for a total of 39,007 -- that's 5.6 percent of total registered voters. The change from Wednesday to Thursday in early voters was insignificant -- 4,544, which is 10 more voters than the previous day.
Partisan totals:
Republicans: 17,740 total, or 7.7 percent
Democrats: 17,845 total, or 5.6 percent
In Washoe County, the totals:
5,592 Republicans, which is 6.7 percent
4,124 Democrats, or 4.9 percent
At this rate, GOP turnout will be less than 20 percent before June 8, so it could still get to 30 percent after all the votes are counted.
