UNLV women’s soccer appears in first Top 25 poll

The UNLV women's soccer team reaped the benefits of knocking off a ranked team by, essentially, stealing their spot in the poll.

After the Rebels defeated then-No. 23 Wisconsin Milwaukee 2-1 in overtime on Sunday, giving the team three straight wins, they landed in Soccer America's Top 25 for the first time in program history. They landed in the 25th spot this week.

Making the Rebels' 6-1-1 mark even more impressive is the fact that they've only played two home games so far in the season's first four weeks.

UNLV now begins a three-game stretch at home, starting with the UNLV Rebel Classic. The Rebels host Robert Morris on Friday at 7 p.m., then take on Niagara at 11:30 a.m. at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
