The UNLV women’s soccer team stumbled Sunday night in Riverside, Calif., in a 3-2 defeat to UC-Riverside.
The Rebels led, 2-1, after 17 minutes on goals by Dani Morin and Amanda Forrester, then the Highlanders (5-5-1) scored twice within seven minutes and held on for the victory.
UNLV (8-3-1) had appeared in a national Top 25 poll and a Western regional top-10 ranking.
The Rebels open Mountain West Conference action Friday at San Diego State in a 4 p.m. game that will be aired on the Mtn. cable network.
