California Supreme sunk the Texas Bluechip Navy 75-55 to capture the Create-N-Finish Cup Challenge at the 3rd annual Reebok Summer Championships at Foothill High School Friday night.
Led by Gary Franklin Jr.'s 15 points, the Inglewood, Calif. based squad racked up a 13-point halftime lead before cruising to the eight-team mini tournament title.
Coached by Gary Franklin Sr., California Supreme is 3-0 so far at the Reebok event. The Supreme will face the Eastern Ohio All Stars at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Foothill in the first round of the Open Championship.
Jaron Johnson of Tyler, Tex. led Bluechip Navy with 17 points.
In the 3rd place contest, the Playaz Basketball Club from Paterson, New Jersey edged Team Detroit 72-65 thanks to a 25-point effort by Myles Davis.
