Vegas Play of the Day: Southern Miss at Texas San-Antonio

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Texas San-Antonio minus-4 vs. Southern Miss: $770 to win $700 : In seniors Jeromie Hill and Keon Lewis, Texas San-Antonio will have the best two players on the court. The 6 foot 8 Hill averages 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game and will present a huge matchup problem on the inside. Lewis averages 14.8 points and 3. 8 assists per game.

Texas San-Antonio won by double digits in its last game, defeating North Texas on the road. Southern Miss, on the other hand, has lost its last four games by more than double digits. Southern Miss’s last victory was against Spring Hill of Alabama, a team transitioning from NAIA to NCAA Division II and has a 2-10 record. And Southern Miss won by just 10 points.

Look for Texas San-Antonio to win in blowout fashion.
