Jeff May signs NHL deal

The Phoenix Coyotes signed former Las Vegas Wranglers defenseman Jeff May to a multi-year contract. As per Phoenix policy, the terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The ECHL All-Star defenseman notched 10 points in 23 games with the Wranglers this season before heading up to the AHL. Since moving to the AHL, May has split time between Norfolk, San Antonio and Providence.

The Detroit Red Wings drafted the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Richmond, British Columbia native in the fifth round (No. 151 overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
