Semi-Pro Soccer Team, Las Vegas Mobsters, Announce Inaugural Roster

The Las Vegas Mobsters, in conjunction with corporate sponsors, the Eastside Cannery, and Advanced Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, are proud to announce the 2014 PDL, inaugural- season roster. The selections come after observing players from across the entire United States, and more than five countries, over two separate tryout events.

Highlighting the roster, is Center Fullback, Victor “Boomer” Arbelaez. Victor, the son of the late, Victor Arbelaez Sr., who had an impressive soccer career himself as a Collegiate National Champion in 1975 for USF, as well as in the NASL, playing alongside soccer great, Pele. Boomer brings an impressive skill set, and strong leadership to the field. Arbelaez had tremendous success as a collegiate player, as a two-time 1st team all-conference (MPSF), and NSCAA 3rd team West-Region All-American. Concluding his collegiate career, Arbelaez was then scouted by several MLS teams, ultimately being selected by the San Jose Earthquakes in the 3rd round. In addition, he also played for the soon-to-be defunct, Chivas USA.

Victor Arbelaez is joined by Jason Eng (LA Galaxy, USSDA), Julien Dragomir (UNLV), Carlos Lara (UNLV), Matt Brink (MSU Billings), Noce Nayigihuga (A.R,. Comets), Robert Hines II (Santa Clara Sporting), Lewis Wilcox (Ely Rangers), Oscar Velazquez (Chivas USA, USSDA), Clement Bompart (GPS Portland Phoenix), Salvador Bernal (UNLV), Julien Portugal (UNLV), Kevin Partida (UNLV), Daniel Musovski (LVSA), Dennis Garcia (Davis Legacy), Dario Teyes (Ventura Fusion), Francky Halley (Africa United), Abraham Solis (Lobos Buap), Octavio Ibarra (Altamira FC) Emmanuel Ayim (SD Flash), and Richard Abrego (Portland Timbers U-23).
