Las Vegas, NV, May 28, 2014– Peter Monroy, one of Las Vegas’s most popular live performers, is pleased to announce the launch of his new band, Spandex Nation and new website at http://www.spandexnation1.com, which kicks off with a performance at The Fremont Street Experience, downtown Las Vegas, on June 7th.
Spandex Nation is an ode to the heyday of 80’s hair and metal music and the vibe of the LA Sunset Strip scene. Celebrating such bands as Dio, Dokken, Guns & Roses, Poison and RATT, Spandex Nation is a high energy music experience showcasing Peter Monroy’s raw talent as front man and musician. Formerly known as KID Hollywood, a popular weekly draw at The Fremont Street Experience and other venues like the Hard Rock, Spandex Nation will elevate the art of the live rock show beyond just a tribute band.
“I am excited and honored to pay homage to the music I grew up on and share it with my fans of all ages,” said Monroy. “Performing these songs brings my fans back to the days when the hair was big and the music was bigger.”
