Newark, Calif. (January 10, 2012)– Chinese Restaurant News announced that Peking Express Chinese Restaurant located in Las Vegas, NV, was named as one of the Top 100 Chinese restaurants in the category of Top 100 Overall Excellence. The announcement was made at the 8th Annual Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in the USA Awards Show held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. Organized by Chinese Restaurant News and Chinese Restaurant Foundation, this national event aspires to set the standard for excellence, aiming to present the very best of Asian cuisine.

Peking Express , a hole-in-the-wall eatery located in suburban Las Vegas, prides itself on providing convenience to foodies with its tasty yet affordable take-out offerings, and has accumulated a large cadre of loyal fans over the years.

Most of Peking’s loyal customers are local Americans, aside from African Americans, Mexicans, Filipinos, and Thais. Owing to a diverse cultural background, the offerings at Peking Express extend across the culinary realm. Its menu includes fried wantons, crab Rangoon, dishes containing fresh vegetables and chicken, and a large number of fried rice options.

Celebrating its 8th year, Top 100 Award Competition has made great strides in helping to raise standards around the industry so that restaurants can better help spread Chinese culinary culture around plate. Peking Express is an extraordinary example of one restaurant that has been quite successful at providing a great dining experience to those curious about Chinese culture.

To qualify for an Award, restaurants must receive positive industry or customer recognition and must be in business a minimum of two years, except for those qualifying in the Top Rising Star category. Restaurant menus also must consist of at least 50 percent Chinese cuisine, except for those qualifying in the Asian Restaurants category. The final results are tabulated with Mystery Diner's scores from an independent third party and direct votes from the public at large.

The Top100 competition is open to all Chinese restaurants in the U.S., Australia, Canada, and U.K. Participating restaurants include newly established restaurants, seasoned restaurants, chain restaurants and past award-winners. A comprehensive list of all the winners can be found at http://www.top100chineserestaurants.com.
